Final Year Project

Project Title

Morph Bots: A Simulation Based Project for a Group of Robots Acting as Individual Display Units of a Physical Representation of a 3-D Digital Model

Description

Warm Robots are autonomous robots that act together as a single unit to achieve a certain desired objective. Within our implementation, these robots will interpret the 30 Models provided to it, extract relevant information from it, move towards a certain goal-point through constant communication with each other, and then replicate the said 30 Model. The swarm will be able to organize themselves into base structures using path planning algorithms and dynamic obstacle detection, and would also cover all the three dimensions to imitate the depth and angles of the model. The implementation of the aforementioned features will be achieved through the open-source meta-operating system, ROS, making the system operable by anyone without having to undergo years of training. The current design of the robot has been done through CREO, a Computer-aided design, and has been designed with the intention of making the system compact, lightweight, and cost-effective.
